July 28, 2015Livara. Why the name Livara? What does it mean? How come Livara?
I must say that coming up with a unique name for a brand in which you believe is not the easiest of tasks.
Our naming journey lasted a period of 3 days in which my sister, Theresa Karungi and me (Maxima Nsimenta) repeatedly came up with fancy name iterations after which we’d Google them and find each and every one taken or assigned to a company of sorts. This was a very gruelling process, challenging, requiring lots of creativity and patience. Imagine what it feels like when you believe you’ve come up with that special and most unique name only to find that it is used by an electronics company in Kuwait!
Like they say, all hard work eventually pays off! On a Sunday afternoon while driving back from Jinja, as we were from visiting our parents, the naming tempo rose a notch higher. We became more creative. We pushed the limits with our imagination. We chose the furthest of letters and combined them with vowels we envisaged clicking…
Boom! Boom! Boom! The pressure was on. The drums we louder. The traffic…..who cares?!? Voila!!!! LIVARA escaped as a sound. A soft sound at first. The sound grew louder. Resonated well with our lips. Felt good to the ear. It was a beautiful sound. We went ahead and googled it up. There was no company named Livara. In fact the name was so rare it just just a few search results. We went a step further and looked up the meaning of Livara… “Divine, God, Goodness, Truth, Unconditional love, Gift, Free will, Ideal, Whole healing your heartbreak, Endless.” All these are values for which we intended our company to stand. Values we uphold and believe in. And so it was. Livara was birthed. Livara is what we provide you. Livara is us. Livara is you. Live life. Live natural. Livara .
