Successful candidates need to have a bachelor’s degree in operations management (or a related field) and have prior experience in a management or leadership position. A deep understanding of financial management is also a plus.
Operations Manager Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the CEO to develop and execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders
- Help create and promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale. This included providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.
- Motivate and provide inspired leadership for the team. This entails inspiring and motivating employees to perform at their best through positive encouragement and incentive initiatives
- Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures.
- Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times.
- Assist HR with recruiting when necessary.
- Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
- Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
- Work with the board of directors to determine values and mission, and plan for short and long-term goals.
- Identify opportunities for the company.
- Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth.
- Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations.

- Oversee the company’s financial performance, investments and other business ventures.
- Research and implement new initiatives to drive company revenue, lower operating costs while maintaining quality and competitive products and services with excellent customer experience.
- Continuous monitoring of the annual and monthly budgets to ensure revenue targets are met.

- Meets with and reports to the CEO about the company’s daily operation, as well as about the CEO’s plans for any upcoming adjustments or developments to business operations strategy, or other company goals and objectives.
- Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions
- Plan and review compensation actions together with the Finance Department; enforcing policies and procedures
- Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends
- Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions
- Develop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; develop, implement, enforce, and evaluate relevant policies and procedures; develop processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping
- Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Responsible for all aspects of vehicle and heavy equipment usage and rentals
- Establish contracts and pricing and ensuring proper maintenance and serving as primary liaison with utilities and local government agencies, such as fire, police, health, and safety agencies
- Manage relationships with key operations vendors
- Review and approve all operational invoices and ensure they are submitted for payment
- Serve as primary point of contact when there are customer issues related to equipment quality, customer service, or accidents and mishaps on-site. In particular, this includes any issues on-site at client facilities, such as breaking a fence or tape residue on flooring, or a dissatisfied customer in the salon.
- Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
- Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings
- Work closely with the inventory manager and team to perform analysis of our inventory and ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively, purchasing the right equipment, maintaining solid inventory data, and reduce sub-rental expenses
- Communicate with legal counsel and safety department to ensure all processes remain compliant with national health and safety regulations and other governmental regulations
Operations Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, operations management or related field.

- Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow management.
